Zach Wolfe has over 14 years of litigation experience. He has tried cases in state and federal courts and in arbitration. His broad experience in business and commercial litigation includes diverse types of cases, including insurance coverage, securities fraud, embezzlement, construction, commercial landlord-tenant, intellectual property, executive compensation, non-competes, partnership disputes, and real estate litigation.
Zach is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has handled lawsuits in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and other venues in the great State of Texas.
Zach grew up in south Austin where he graduated from Crockett High School. He then obtained his undergraduate degree in Government magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1994. Zach graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1997. During law school he was a member of the journal The Review of Litigation.
His legal career began at the Dallas office of Haynes and Boone, LLP, where he worked on complex insurance coverage litigation and general commercial litigation. In 2000, he moved to Austin to practice business litigation with Fleckman & McGlynn, PLLC, becoming a principal in that firm in 2004. In November 2011, he moved to Houston to join Schwartz, Junell, Greenberg & Oathout, LLP.
Zach has been active in local bar associations and has written several articles on Texas insurance law, including authoring “Late Notice and Prejudice to Insurance Companies: The Texas Supreme Court’s PAJ Decision” (2008) and co-authoring “Insurance Issues for Trial Lawyers” (2006). Zach is a co-founder of the Thomas A. Caswell and Rebeca Diaz Caswell Memorial Scholarship Foundation, a scholarship program for band students. He regularly handles pro bono cases including family law, landlord-tenant, and consumer matters.
Zach has been married to Rebecca Wolfe since 1999 and has two children. When he’s not litigating he enjoys spending time with his family, running, playing golf, mountain biking, and playing trumpet, guitar, and piano.
